Coastal New Build

A new home on one of Manu Bay’s steeper sections. The owners wanted glazing oriented to the surf break, a layout that handled the southerly, and a build that would hold up to the salt air without high maintenance.

We worked closely with the architect and structural engineer on the retaining and platform work — the section dropped over two metres across the footprint. The exterior is cedar weatherboard with a pre-finished aluminium parapet detail; the interior leans on plaster, timber and concrete in equal parts.

Completed in just under nine months from first peg. Code Compliance Certificate issued August 2025.
